Hello! I’m Meilir, and I have just started in my new role as a Wellbeing Trainee in the Learning Disabilities Service on the Specialists of Tomorrow Scheme.
I’m from Caernarfon, and I graduated from Bangor University with a Business Studies degree during the Summer of 2018.
I’m not totally new to the Gwynedd Council. After leaving University I worked as a Research and Analytics Officer with the Research and Information Team for almost a year.
During the next three years I will be studying a Master’s Degree in Public Administration through the University of Birmingham – remember to follow the blog if you’re interesting in hearing about my experience studying a distance learning degree whilst working as a full time trainee.
During my spare time I enjoy following sports, mainly football and the NFL (American football), I try my best to play golf, and I spend far too much time watching box sets on the television!
I hope to update the blog every couple of weeks or so. The hope is that my blog, and the blogs of the other trainees can offer an insight into the lives of graduate trainees here in the Gwynedd Council. So, remember to follow the blog to hear more about our work in our specialist fields, my experiences studying the Masters Degree, our work promoting the scheme and much much more!
Bye for now,
